Transport of the future


1. commonplace 平凡:happening or existing in many place, and therefore not special or unusual.
    Ex:Divorce was commonplace among the Gentiles.

2. automation 自動化:the use of computers and machines instead of people to do a job.
    Ex:Any occupation that consists mostly of the repeated application of rules is a target for automation.

3. prototype 原型:the first form that a new design of a car, machine etc has, or a model of it used to test the      design before it is produced.
    Ex:Within a year, the company expects to have a prototype for military use.

4. far-fetched 牽強:extremely unlikely to be true or to happen.
    Ex:At the time, his ideas were considered far-fetched.

5. vacuum 真空:a space that is completely empty of all gas, especially one from which all the air has been        taken away.
    Ex:This made a partial vacuum, which kept the cardboard attached to the mouth of the glass.
